Real Estate Drone Use
The real estate market is doing great, despite the Covid-19's obvious implications on everyday life. With these new restrictions and challenges to engaging in personal viewing of real estate realtors and homeowners alike must find new alternatives to in person showings.

An emerging technology and opportunity for home owners is using aerial drone perspectives to show off the property and house. Drone footage, especially videos can provide perspectives of the property and surrounding area that are unique, exciting, and beautiful.

On Zillow's website it is stated that "According to Multiple Listing Service(MLS) statistics, properties with accompanying aerial imagery are 68% more likely to sell than properties without aerial imagery, and that number is only increasing." Whether you are a homeowner or a real estate agent drone video and pictures are crucial in selling any property for its maximum closing price.

While it's hard to measure just how much you can increase your home's value by having drone video and pictures it is almost certain that you will receive a bigger offer far greater than your small investment in the drone footage. In any given real estate market, especially markets of $300,000 and upwards, it could be possible to receive anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000 more on the final sale of the property.

Often key features of the house and especially surrounding areas are missed, by watching the drone footage the prospective buyer's could see just how close the house is from the local school, park, ocean, etc. These are crucial details and perspectives that almost certainly demand a higher valuation of some properties without them.

Drone Technology

Drone technology is rapidly developing throughout the years, what was once virtually a private sector very expensive business of aerial photography is now something the general public can harness. Investing your time and money in a drone can be taxing but with drones becoming cheaper and easier to control it is becoming more widely available.

With the evolution of drone technology drones can now fit inside of a backpack and can be brought virtually anywhere. These smaller drones can also have high resolution cameras upwards of 4k quality. A key part of any drone is the gimbal that stabilizes the video while the drone is moving. A gimbal is a pivoted support system that allows for the camera to be stable while rotating. This gimbal can allow for very fancy and advanced shots that make the video seem incredibly smooth for a flying vehicle. Conditions such as wind often make getting smooth footage a challenge but the gimbal helps reduce the shakiness the wind adds.

Drones are being utilized in more advanced projects as well such as mapping areas and giving first person perspectives in action shots. Ideas such as mapping farmers land and crops from 4k pictures all stitched together into one image could help tackle modern day problems with modern day solutions.
Overcoming Covid-19's Challenges
A deadly pandemic that has impacted and took a toll on all of us some more so than others has made starting a business seem like a terrible idea. I believe that with hardship can come some of the most unique and innovative ideas to adapt and overcome.

Social distancing has allowed for technology to spearhead our adaptation to this new challenging environment. Digital perspectives put online can bring an in person environment into the eyes of the viewer anywhere around the globe. Zoom is being utilized to adapt to the virus’s shutdowns and to bring people together without leaving the home.
Just like zoom real estate agents and homeowners face challenges with getting potential buyers to see the home and surrounding area. Where my service comes in is filling this void with a video that provides the viewer a unique viewpoint that allows you to feel like you are touring the property from all angles.
My goal is to provide home owners with footage of their property that they could show to friends and be proud of. On top of the satisfaction that comes from owning a drone video of your property it will also be a very important investment in selling that property if you ever choose to.
